Join Our Community

There are many ways to make a difference at Smile On Seniors, whether you have a few hours to give at an event or are looking to build an ongoing connection with one of our seniors. Our volunteers span different ages and stages of life, but they share one thing: a willingness to show up, connect and bring a little more joy into someone’s day.

Ways to Volunteer

Grand Friend Visits

Visit a senior regularly at an aged care facility across Melbourne’s south-eastern suburbs and build a genuine one-on-one connection through conversation and companionship.

Requirements:

Packing Bees & Deliveries

Join one of our Packing Bees and help prepare weekly care packages with challah, juice, chocolates and a personal message for our seniors. It’s hands-on, social and genuinely fun!

Prefer to be on the road? You can also help deliver the finished packages to aged care facilities across the south-eastern suburbs.

Packing Bee volunteers require a Working With Children Check.

Events

We run a variety of events throughout the year, including Yom Tov celebrations, Smiles Hub activities and special community gatherings. We’re always looking for volunteers to help with set-up, welcoming guests, ticketing, supporting activities, serving and packing down.
